What time do I need to arrive?

Will any food be provided?

Yes.  On Saturday breakfast will be offered on both campuses.

Where is the gathering place?

On Thursday, volunteers at the Schaumburg Campus will register in the main-entrance rotunda, 1400 Roosevelt Blvd.

On Friday, volunteers will meet at the Schaumburg Campus and register in the main-entrance rotunda, 1400 Roosevelt Blvd.

Saturday registration at the Chicago Campus will be in the Michigan Avenue lobby, 430 S. Michigan Ave., and volunteers will proceed from there to the second-floor Michigan and Congress lounges for breakfast and a short kick-off event.

Saturday registration at the Schaumburg Campus will be in the main-entrance rotunda, 1400 Roosevelt Blvd. Volunteers will proceed to Alumni Hall for breakfast and a short kick-off event.

At what time will the work day end?

On Thursday, participants will return to the Schaumburg Campus at 9:30 p.m.

On Friday, participants will return to the Schaumburg Campus by 4 p.m.

On Saturday, participants in Chicago will return to downtown campus by approximately 1 p.m. and volunteers in the Northwest suburbs will return to the Schaumburg Campus by 2 p.m.

How should I dress?

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can afford to get dirty. If possible, wear gear/clothing that has the Roosevelt University name/logo. If you will be working outdoors, dress to face the weather.

Can I drive separately to the site?

Yes, you may choose to drive separately.  However, it is recommended that you sign in at either campus to obtain directions and information before leaving for your site.

Can I bring children to any of the sites?

Yes, many of the sites are child friendly. Please see the site description to confirm.
