Immigration Workshops

CPT & OPT Employment Workshop

Please come to International Programs (Room AUD 124) to learn about how you can work off-campus while you are a student through approved internships (CPT) and after you graduate with Optional Practical Training (OPT) .  The workshops will be held in late January or early February.

If you wish to request a letter from International Programs to verify your current immigration status, apply for a Social Security Number or for other reasons, you may download the Student Letter Request Form and submit it to International Programs.  All letter requests take 2-3 business days.

All F1 and J1 students (and their F2 or J2 spouses) are required to file income taxes for every year they are present in the U.S.  This is required even if you did not work in the U.S. Please visit the IRS homepage for more details.
