Duplex (two-sided) Printing

To further reduce our environmental impact, printers in most labs and computer classrooms are being converted, or have been converted, to print by default on both sides of the page. Users can select single-sided printing at print time by un-checking the "Print on both sides" option in the "Printer Preferences" dialog box. The cost of duplex printing is only $0.08 per page ($0.16 per two-sided sheet). Single-sided printing remains unchanged at $0.10 per page. Duplex printing is available at these locations:

Auditorium: 256, 401, 1009, 1032, 1111, 1551

Gage Building: 201, 208, 410, 500, 501

Schaumburg: 140, 140c, 504, 551, 622, 626, 712, 701, 373, 515

Color Laser Printing

There are color printers at two locations: the library reference area on the tenth floor of the Auditorium Building, and in the library at Schaumburg (Room 140). The default setting continues to be black and white, but users who wish to print in color can select the color option at print time. The cost of color printing is $.50 per page. The duplex option is not available for color printing.
