Videoconferencing

WHAT IS THIS?

Videoconferencing allows two or more locations to collaborate via two-way video and audio connections. Videoconferencing facilities serve group communications, rather than just individuals. Roosevelt Multimedia Services maintains five videoconferencing facilities (two at the Schaumburg campus and one each in the Auditorium, Gage and Wabash buildings) to provide support for instructional or administrative meetings, with options for connections to off-site locations and event recording.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Roosevelt videoconferencing rooms are open to faculty, staff, students, and authorized outside groups.  Instructional use takes priority over all other uses.  Student and outside group reservations must be made by a faculty or staff sponsor.

HOW DO I GET IT?

Reservations can be made using the online request form at http://www.roosevelt.edu/Restricted/ITS/forms/VideoConference.aspx. Requests are reviewed by MMS staff, who will send the requestor an email confirmation.  Please make your reservation at least 5 business days prior to your event.  Video conferences connecting with outside systems require 10 days’ notice in order to properly test the connection.
