ITS Technology Administration and Project Management

Technology Administration and Project Management within Information Technology Services partners with departments and project teams to provide guidance, establish best practices, and promote consistent project standards.

Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources, technology and cost to bring about the successful completion of project goals. Projects are managed and assessed in terms of strategic alignment by means of portfolio project management. Proposed projects should address specific Institutional Strategic Plan goals and strategies.

Each year during the Planning and Budget process university departments are encouraged to submit proposed projects for the coming fiscal year. The Initiative Readiness Planning Document has been developed to assist you in determining your area's readiness in implementing a new service or process that is student/user centered and takes a horizontal view of the effectiveness of the initiative.
