Blackboard

WHAT IS THIS?

Blackboard is the online learning management system used in many online and face-to-face classes, providing support for document access, discussion and communication tools, and other learning resources.

WHO IS IT FOR?

By default, Blackboard course shells are created each semester for all university classes. User accounts are created for every instructor and enrolled student.  The actual use of Blackboard in each university course is the decision of the instructor.

HOW DO I GET IT?

Instructors will inform students if Blackboard is used in their courses.

SUPPORT

Students are encouraged to contact their instructors first with questions about Blackboard. Blackboard support is available using the Help utility within Blackboard, and through the ITS Technology Knowledgebase at www.roosevelt.edu/helpdesk.  Support requests can also be directed to the Help Desk.
