Film Screening: Patriocracy (7:00pm)

Event Date: 09/20/2012
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: SCH Alumni Hall

The Division of Professional A&S and the Palatine League of Women Voters are co-sponsoring tomorrow’s screening of Patriocracy at 4:45pm and 7:00pm. All faculty, students and staff are invited to attend.

This documentary film focuses on the current polarization and dysfunction in the American political system. Informative and entertaining, it includes interviews with several prominent politicians, journalists, and scholars, along with footage of contentious congressional sessions and public demonstrations. In addition to an analysis of causes of the current situation, a number of positive solutions are also explored. View more information on the film.

Both screenings will be prefaced with introductory remarks by Political Science Instructor, Mark Kaplinsky, and all attendees can join the discussion following the film. Light refreshments (cookies, coffee, and popcorn) will be served.
