The St. Clair Drake Center for African and African American Studies is hosting a lecture with Will P. Jones, Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin. Professor Jones will speak on "Freedom Then, Freedom Now: The March on Washington and the Forgotten History of Civil Rights." This is the first in a series of three lectures sponsored by the Murray-Green Library and the St. Clair Drake Center, with generous support from Robert and Rose Johnson, to honor and reflect upon the themes of St. Clair Drake’s lectures in 1963 – 100 years after Emancipation.
