David Karpf – The MoveOn Effect: The Unexpected Transformation of American Political Advocacy

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration is sponsoring a lecture with David Karpf, Assistant Professor in the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University. Professor Karpf’s work focuses on strategic communication practices of political associations in America, with a particular interest in Internet-related strategies. He is the author of "The MoveOn Effect: The Unexpected Transformation of American Political Advocacy" (2012, Oxford University Press). Prior to entering academia, Karpf was an environmental organizer with the Sierra Club. Free and open to the public and to all members of the Roosevelt community.
