Fall 2013 Biometric Screenings

Through collaborative efforts across campus, the Wellbeing Advisory Council has worked to create a culture in which the pursuit of a balanced lifestyle is valued, and physical and mental health fostered. As we move into the third year of Roosevelt’s Wellbeing Initiative, we remain committed to providing wellness resources to help you learn, live and love good health.

If you are a health plan participant, the following programs are available to you through United Healthcare:

1. ATTEND A “KNOW YOUR NUMBERS” BIOMETRIC SCREENING EVENT at the University on one of the dates scheduled below. You will receive a free, confidential biometric health screening of body mass index, body fat percentage (based on height and weight), blood pressure, cholesterol level, and glucose (blood sugar) level.

2. COMPLETE AN ONLINE HEALTH ASSESSMENT. Register at Click on “Health Assessment” to complete and submit the questionnaire. UHC will receive the results and provide Roosevelt with a report of your completion.

Your participation in these programs will provide us with aggregate health data that will directly shape our Wellbeing - Healthy Campus strategy, which includes on-site and web-based programs and events. NOTE: No individual information is shared with us.

Can I get a physical exam instead of doing the biometric screening?

We highly recommend that everyone get regular physical exams. The results from physical exams are not included in the aggregate health data.
