The following four courses (12 credit hours) are required to earn the concentration and an endorsement.  All courses are offered in Chicago, and available in the semesters listed below.

  1. ECHD 405, Assessment in Early Childhood Education (Spring)
  2. ECHD 409, Child, Family, and Community (Fall)
  3. ECHD 434, Language Development (Summer)
  4. ECHD 482, Early Childhood Special Education Methods (Summer)

A three credit hour (1 course) elective in Special Education also is required for this concentration.  Please consult the advisor below for more information.

The capstone course for this concentration is TLED 480, Inquiry in the Classroom.  It is offered online during the summer semester.
