Students enrolled in the MA in Teaching and Learning Program may obtain deeper knowledge about early childhood special education through enrollment in an 18 credit hour concentration on the Chicago campus. An early childhood special education approval may be earned through the completion of all or part of this concentration.
The following four courses (12 credit hours) are required to earn the concentration and the approval. The approval also may be earned by graduate students-at-large who are not enrolled in the degree program.
A three credit hour (1 course) elective in Special Education also is required for this MA degree concentration. Please consult the advisor below for more information.
The capstone course for this concentration is TLED 480, Inquiry in the Classroom. It is offered online during the summer semester.
