Administrative Studies

Managers, executives, and administrators provide valuable leadership and perspective. They create goals and manage projects to ensure the success of their organizations. Focused management and effective communication are necessary tools in these environments. The Bachelor of Professional Studies major in Administrative Studies combines courses in organization leadership, communication, business, and liberal arts to create a unique program for adults interested in careers in business, government, and the non-profit sector. This major also includes the unique general education requirements of our Adult Fast Track programs.  With online and on-campus availability, this major is highly accessible to all adult students.

Business

The Bachelor of Professional Studies with a Major in Business is designed for students 24 and over who are eager to understand the fundamentals of business in small, focused, and convenient classes. Students in this major are well-prepared to go on for a graduate business degree, especially the MBA.

Commerce and Enterprise

The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Commerce and Enterprise is a fully online undergraduate major designed for individuals looking for a career in the exciting world of business.

Criminal Justice

The Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Professional Studies in Criminal Justice are designed for both criminal justice professionals seeking advancement and those who wish to become criminal justice professionals.

Hospitality and Tourism Management

There’s no better place to study Hospitality and Tourism Management than Roosevelt, as the Chicago metropolitan area offers students open access to world-class hotels and restaurants; a rich blend of ethnic cultures and cuisines; and celebrated venues for arts, entertainment, sports and recreation -- everything students need to master the industry.

Organizational Leadership

The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership provides a multi-disciplinary approach to leadership issues, combining management science, humanities, social sciences, research science, communication arts, technology, and ethics.

Paralegal Studies

Paralegal Studies is one of the Midwest’s premier paralegal education programs. Conveniently located in downtown Chicago and suburban Schaumburg, Ill., the program has been offering dynamic and challenging courses to prepare students career in the legal profession for more than three decades.

Sustainability Studies

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) in Sustainability Studies (SUST) is an exciting new undergraduate major that is interdisciplinary and environmentally-focused. The SUST program is the first such sustainability-themed bachelor's degree program in the Chicago area.

Training and Development

Training and Development is a graduate program that prepares tomorrow’s leaders in the growing field of workplace learning and performance. Students develop a highly marketable skill set and are prepared to take an integral role in reshaping tomorrow’s workforce. Courses blend current theory along with practice and are mapped to ASTD competencies, so you are assured of receiving the most relevant curriculum that transfers immediately to the workplace. We offer Master of Arts degrees in Training and Development, and Human Performance Improvement. Plus graduate credentials in Instructional Design, E-Learning, Online Teaching, Training & Development and Performance Improvement.

Online Classes

RU Online leads the College of Professional Studies into the 21st century by giving students the opportunity to earn a degree from their computer desktops. This exciting online initiative offers an engaging, interactive and enriching learning experience, plus a chance to network with students all over the world. The program features full bachelor's and master's degree programs, credentials and individual courses – and it’s all online.

English Language Program

The English Language Program, which offers academic English as a Second Language (ESL) classes that prepare non-native speakers of English for study at the graduate or undergraduate level.

Life Skills Program

Exemplifying the mission of Roosevelt University are the Department of Human and Community Renewal, which offers life skills programs to individuals recently released from prison.
