RU Ready for Valentine’s Day? Let’s Talk about Healthy Relationships

Relationships can be a consistent source of support, emotional connection, and even love for students. They can also be a source of stress and conflict. Come join the Counseling Center and RU Proud for this great opportunity to discover what behaviors in a romantic relationship create happiness and fulfillment for both people. We will have some activities and discussions that focus on what are signs of a healthy pattern in a romantic relationship, and what are some signs that things aren’t quite right.

When FINE isn’t Really Fine… Suicide Prevention and the Asian American Community

Come join us for light refreshments and a discussion on mental health issues and the Asian community. Topics will include: dispelling myths and stigma, discussing risk and supportive factors for suicide and mental health, hearing survivor stories, how to help someone in crisis, coping with stress, and where can help be found. This event is co-Sponsored by the Counseling Center and the Asian American Suicide Prevention Initiative. Light refreshments will be served.
Sleep Hygiene: Get Your Sleep On!

Are you constantly feeling tired? Do you wake up in the morning and just want to go back to bed? Do you press ‘snooze’ at least twice in the morning? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions , then come to our workshop on how to freshen up your sleep hygiene. Presented by the Counseling Center and co-sponsored with Roosevelt Athletic Training, you will learn about what it takes to get a good night’s sleep and wake up energized and refreshed!
