Languages
Roosevelt offers a variety of courses for students interested in languages. Courses develop the student’s ability to speak, understand, read, and write in the target language. From the beginning level, the target language is used extensively, and students are encouraged to use it in an array of activities and situations.
Class exercises, most of which are student centered, are devoted to listening, speaking, writing and reading, in accordance with the goals of the particular class, so that the student can tailor the language to his/her needs in business, travel, teaching, health care, or public administration. Culture is systematically incorporated into all levels of instruction.
