This degree teaches students to use technology to gather, analyze and interpret data, facilitating decision making. "Big data" has become a force for competitive advantage. Graduates are positioned to join this growing field in a variety of professions and industries.


The final 30 semester hours must be taken at Roosevelt University. At least 15 semester hours of credit in the Data Analytics major must also be taken at Roosevelt. At most 60 semester hours may be taken at the 100 level. At least 63 semester hours must be in non-computing classes.

Students planning to pursue an MS in Computer Science should take MATH 231, 245 and 300 as well as CST 280 in their curriculum.

For the BS degree, at least 60 semester hours must be in sciences. A minor is required, with Math or Business recommended.
