CJL 383 - TECHNOLOGY IN CRIM JUSTICE

An overview of the ways in which technological innovations have assisted criminals in the commission of crimes, police in the detection of crimes, and the courts in the determination of guilt. An additional component will be the use of technology in the handling of offenders once arrested'electronic monitoring, Bio-metric identification, use and myths of DNA, GPS tracking, GIS in crime analysis, surveillance, drug screening, etc.
