The ability to design instructional content is a highly marketable skill in today’s rapidly changing workplace. Instructional design is one of the most popular areas within the workplace learning and performance industry. Students will gain an understanding of conducting a needs assessment and designing an appropriate learning solution through instructional design and program planning.
This graduate concentration develops expertise in the design, delivery and evaluation of learning interventions that improve performance. Courses are mapped to Association for Talent Development (ATD, formerly ASTD) competencies and blend current theory with best practices to ensure that this highly relevant curriculum transfers immediately to the workplace.
Classes are taught by a dedicated group of full-time professors and industry leaders who use analytical and creative approaches in a highly energizing, constructivist format. Three courses are combined to create this comprehensive program.
Students interested in the graduate concentration in Instructional Design must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at Roosevelt University and must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited institution with an undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
