PHAR 668 INTERNAL MEDICINE
This course is intended to expand knowledge in the pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy of internal medicine disease states. A case-based approach will be utilized to foster critical thinking and active learning. This course will provide students an opportunity to build upon their current knowledge in the management of adult patients with acute and chronic medical illnesses (e.g. asthma/COPD, renal failure, diabetes mellitus, community and hospital-acquired pneumonia, DVT/PE, etc.) utilizing an evidence-based literature and guidelines through a case-based approach.
