Course Details


Culture, language, lifestyle and disease states have considerable impact on how patients use and respond to healthcare services. Students will be introduced to cultural mores of different races and lifestyles to help them explore the healthcare habits and beliefs generally attributed to the different groups. In addition, students will assess their levels of cultural competence and examine how their attitudes and beliefs may influence healthcare delivery.
