MAS 475  SEMINAR:MUSIC SINCE 1950

This course will focus on American composers active after World War II by examining the composers’ careers and compositional aesthetics, and through analysis of their works. In particular, the class will study the music of John Cage, Elliott Carter, Steve Reich, Philip Glass, George Crumb, and John Corigliano. Counts as a course in Music Since 1900.
