Tina S. Gaddy - Director of Career Development

Tina S. Gaddy joined Roosevelt University in 2012 as the Director of Career Development.  Professionally, Tina has over 14 years of experience helping people attain self-sufficiency through a solid background of non-profit management and collegiate career development. Tina’s expertise includes strategic planning, career coaching, workforce development and higher education administration. In addition to managing thriving Career Services departments, often serves as an adjunct professor teaching a number of courses including Organizational Behavior, Critical Thinking, and Intro to Business. Professional appointments include Director of Career Development, National Director of Career Services, and Employer Relations Manager. Prior to RU, Tina has served in Higher Education Administration and Collegiate Career Services roles at the University of Illinois-Chicago, the Illinois Institute of Technology, Pennsylvania Institute of Technology and DeVry University.Tina holds a B.A. from Lincoln University (PA) and a Master of Science degree in Non-Profit Organizational Management from Springfield College (MA). She holds active memberships with the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the National Career Development Association, Chicago Young Professionals, and serves as the 2012-2013 President of the Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League.

Sara Bujas- Career Counselor

Sara joined the Career Development team as a Career Counselor in April 2013. As a career counselor, Sara assists students with a variety of career development topics such as resume and cover letter reviews, job searching, mock interviews, career fairs, professional networking, etc. Sara graduated from St. Norbert College with a B.A. in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Masters in Counseling in Higher Education where she completed a year and a half practicum in a Career Services office. During this time, she gained experience in career counseling, developing and giving presentations to groups of students and faculty members, participating in job/graduate school fairs, and evaluating self-assessments (Strong Interest Inventory and MBTI). Sara also has experience in academic advising where she helped coach students on time management and establishing goals. Sara is enthusiastic about joining the Roosevelt team and looks forward to working with students, staff, and faculty.

Aaron Kennedy - Student Placement Specialist

Aaron joined Roosevelt University as the Student Placement Specialist in March 2010. In his role, Aaron has collaborated with members of faculty and university administration to centralize the student employment process and establish policies and procedures to ensure students have ample resources on hand and an efficient means of finding jobs on campus. Prior to Roosevelt, Aaron worked for Chicago Youth Centers as a College Career Specialist where he was responsible for the design and implementation of a career-readiness program.  Working with youth from the ages of 7-21, Aaron developed a curriculum based on the Positive Youth Development model (in which he is also certified) to enrich the lives of children heading into junior high, high school and college. Partnering with such programs as Gear-Up, he worked to prepare high school seniors for scholarships. From tutoring to computer software training, through resume critiques and mock interviews Aaron enjoys working with students and has a passion for developing programs that enable them to become successful. Aaron holds a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Psychology from DePaul University, Chicago.

Christopher J. Willis - Assistant Director, Employer Relations and Internships

Earning his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations from Illinois State University, Chris is one of the newest members of the Career Development team.  With a minor in Sociology, Chris possesses a desire for analyzing situations in hopes of improving them for those who need his help most.  Most recently coming from Roosevelt University’s Office of Human Resources, he has a strong grasp on what is necessary to assist others, as well as maintaining solid processes & procedures.  He also has many years in staffing, recruitment & employer relations where he has had the opportunity to meet, manage & nurture relationships with various client bases throughout his professional career, including Motorola, UPS, FedEx & Edward Don & Co.
