About

Mission Statement

The Office of Career Development educates students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers about the career development and job search process. We support, engage, and counsel students in career and major exploration, internships, resume writing and interviewing rather than operating from a direct placement model.  Staff host job fairs, workshops and programs, offer networking opportunities and partner with employers for on-campus interviewing and information sessions.  Our goal is to facilitate career related exploration and experiences in order to "educate socially conscious citizens for active and dedicated lives as leaders in their professions and their communities."

Drop In Hours

Drop in hours are offered in the fall and spring semester.  During the summer, contact Career Development to schedule an appointment with a Career Counselor.

Drop in hours are times designed for students to stop by with questions about the career development process.  If you are unable to schedule an appointment during general office hours, please use this time to meet with a career counselor or career peer.  As a note: you may be limited to 15 minutes if drop-in hours are crowded.  If you make an appointment during general hours, we schedule visits in one-hour increments.

Drops in hours for the Summer 2012 semester days and times are Fridays 11a.m.-1p.m. Chicago Campus and Schaumburg Campus Monday 1p.m-3p.m.
