Freshmen New Student Orientation

Fall 2015 New Student Orientation (NSO) is Roosevelt's required 4-day orientation for all new freshmen students. During NSO we’ll cover college transition, introduce you to campus resources and provide you an opportunity to meet your entire class. You’ll get a chance to get settled at Roosevelt and we think you’ll have a great time!

New Student Orientation Details

First-Year Orientation

  • Tuesday, August 18--Friday, August 21, 2015
  • This is a 4-day program required for all new incoming first-year students.
  • Exact times will become available in the coming months.
  • Please make sure you attend a Starting Out At Roosevelt (SOAR) date prior to attending orientation.
  • The complete schedule will be released in the coming months.
  • All four days of New Student Orientation are required of all incoming first-year students.
  • Orientation is for students only; please do not bring guests.

Residential Students

First-year residential students should attend all Orientation events. Residence Life will contact you with your specific move-in date/time. Questions regarding move-in? Contact the Office of Residence Life:  reslife@roosevelt.edu or (312) 341-2005.  

Commuter Students

First-year commuter students should attend all daytime orientation events. We encourage you to stay for our evening social programs, but if you need to arrange to transportation, you should plan to be on campus during the following times at a minimum:
