Ensembles
- Style-based combos: Swing, Bebop, Hard Bop, Brazilian, Fusion, Free Jazz, ECM, and Contemporary
- New Deal Vocal Jazz ensemble
- Large ensemble
- Latin Jazz ensemble
- Weekly hour-long lessons with outstanding faculty
- Student groups receive regular coachings from area professionals in our Friday afternoon Jazz Forum series
- Students perform at least once per semester at the Jazz Showcase, Chicago’s oldest jazz venue, only a few blocks from campus
- Master classes occur several times per semester (most recent guest is trumpet great Ryan Kisor)
- Student groups participate regularly in Elmhurst and Notre Dame jazz festivals
