The Department of Biological, Chemical and Physical Sciences offers courses in the life sciences designed to teach students biological concepts and principles with emphases on individual laboratory experiences and real-world applications. The undergraduate curricula in Biology and Biochemistry provide a sound basis for professional training in biology, biomedical research, biotechnology, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and teaching. The graduate Biology curricula are designed for students who have completed a Bachelor's degree and who seek broad, advanced training in biological science (MS Biology) or who are preparing for medical school or other advanced training in medical science (MA Biomedical Sciences).
