Black Male Leadership Academy

St. Clair Drake Center for African and African-American Studies

Roosevelt University, through its St. Clair Drake Center for African and African-American Studies, is launching the inaugural Black Male Leadership Academy (BMLA) program in the summer of 2014.

The Black Male Leadership Academy (BMLA) has two components, the Summer Institute and Second Saturdays.

There is no cost for participation in the program, thanks to the generosity of Robert and Rose Johnson. Mr. Johnson is a Roosevelt graduate and the first African-American executive at Sears Roebuck and Company.

Students must apply for admission to the academy.

The Black Male Leadership Academy is led by Dr. Albert Bennett, Program Director and Professor of Education and Public Policy. For more information about the BMLA, please contact Professor Bennett at abennett@roosevelt.edu or at 312-341-3864.
