Golf Outing Volunteers Needed for RU Fundraiser

Looking to enjoy some summer fun while helping a terrific Roosevelt University cause? We have the perfect volunteer project for you.

Roosevelt University’s Schaumburg Campus is hosting the 21st Annual Scholarship Golf Outing at the Schaumburg Golf Club & Academy on Monday, Aug. 11. The academy is located at 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg. The event’s proceeds will benefit Roosevelt University's Future Community Leaders Scholarship Program.

How can you help? We are recruiting volunteers for specific roles. During the day there will be challenges to see who has the longest drive amongst the golf players, and we need volunteers to measure the distances. Volunteers are also requested to help during the silent auction.

Please contact Yvette Joseph for more details and to volunteer at 847-619-7283. She will be able to share with you the volunteer opportunities, time and when and where you will need to check in for the day of the event.  Thanks for your participation.

Roosevelt University is pleased to partner with WTTW to support the station as it airs Ken Burns’ new seven-part documentary, The Roosevelts. The film traces the life and times of Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and is certain to be the PBS event of the fall.

We need volunteers aged 16 and over to staff the phones and answer live phone calls from potential donors.  Training will be provided. All volunteers will receive a Roosevelt t-shirt to wear to help build visibility for the University.

Dinner is free!  The event will take place at the WTTW studios at 5400 N. St. Louis Avenue, Chicago (free parking, 0.9 miles from Kimball Brown Line stop).
