These are some of the many action steps identified and undertaken this year to improve and assure the safety of every member of the Roosevelt community.

Appointed an official University Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator (link to my contact info) charged with overseeing the University's compliance with Title IX, including overseeing all complaints of sex discrimination, assault, and misconduct, and identifying and addressing any patterns or systemic problems that arise during the review of such complaints.

Established a team of incredibly smart and dedicated faculty, staff, and students charged with conducting a deep-dive analysis of the University's current policies, procedures, and educational programming centered around Sexual Respect and Title IX.

Launched this comprehensive new University Compliance and Policy Administration webpage, which includes detailed information on Sexual Respect and Title IX resources.

Authorized the establishment of an anonymous and confidential hotline service.

Check!

Accelerated efforts to ensure that the entire University community is educated about law, policy and appropriate responses to survivors of incidents of sexual misconduct and assault and to ensure that staff, faculty and students are aware of how to protect survivors of sexual assault from experiences that trigger post-traumatic reactions.

Ongoing outreach and education to students, faculty, and staff about Sexual Respect and Title IX.

Added student support in critical areas, such as counseling, to improve support for survivors of sexual assault.
