What is an RSS Feed?

You can think of an RSS feed as an alternative way to keep up with a web site. Instead of visiting the web site and looking for what's new, you can subscribe to an RSS feed and have the latest updates sent to your RSS reader. Learn more via Wikipedia

RSS Feeds aren't applicable for all parts of a web site. What they are particularly good for, however, is to keep up with content that changes often, like an events calendar, job postings, etc.

You'll need an RSS Reader to subscribe to and view RSS feeds. Several browsers, including Opera, offer built-in RSS support. Internet Explorer 7 and Outlook 2007 will include RSS support.
