Academic Resources for Students

If your student is stuggling with a class or wants to improve, please refer him or her to these resources:

- course instructor (encourge your student to talk to the professor before or after class or during office hours)

- Academic Success Center (tutoring is offered in several subjects as well as help with writing)

- Writing Center

- Library

Advising & Registration for Spring Classes

Academic advising and registration for spring 2010 classes is underway. Encourage your student to schedule an appointment with her or his academic advisor and review the course schedule at www.roosevelt.edu/schedule. Registering early helps students receive the classes they need at the times they prefer.

December Graduation

If your student is graduating in December 2009, congratulations from the faculty and staff of Roosevelt University! Commencement ceremonies will be held in Roosevelt's Auditorium Theatre on Friday, December 18. There are two ceremonies. The ceremony for students in the College of Education, Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration and Evelyn T. Stone College of Professional Studes will be at noon. The ceremony for students in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Chicago College of Performing Arts will be held at 3:30 p.m. Click here for information for December 2009 graduates.

H1N1 Influenza Information

As parents and students have heard in the media, the Centers for Disease Control expect the H1N1 influenza flu affect college campuses across the country. With this in mind, it is very important that students take precautions to help stop the spread of this illness. Click here for information emailed to Roosevelt students regarding H1N1 influenza.
