New Student Orientation & New Student Programs

RU new to Roosevelt? If so, you've come to the right place!  The Center for Student Involvement at the Chicago Campus is responsible for coordinating the University’s New Student Programs for new Chicago undergraduate students.  Programs include New Student Orientation, Laker Days, Welcome Week and the First Year Seminar (FYS 100) course. 

New Student Orientation - Students Starting in Spring 2012

Please join us for a one-day New Student Orientation program for all new undergraduate students starting classes in the spring 2012 semester at the Chicago Campus. All new first year and transfer students are required to attend an orientation session.  A program for parents is offered as well.  There is a $35 fee for participation per student that will automatically be billed to your RU student account.  The fee includes up to two parents who can attend the parent orientation program.  Students attending orientation are expected to have registered for spring classes prior to attending the program. 

Spring 2012 New Student Orientation dates are: 
Session 1: Wednesday, January 11, 2012
Session 2: Thursday, January 12, 2012

New Student Orientation Schedule:
8:30am: Check-in
9:00pm: University Welcome
                Student and parent sessions
                Lunch
                Academic sesions and parent sessions
                Interest sessions
4:00pm: Closing
